Who is Ava?
I live with my family in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. I am in grade 11 at McMath Secondary in French Immersion. I have two younger brothers who sometimes help me make angels too!
When I am not in school or making angels I like to do a lot of different activities including : swimming, girl guides, skiing, painting and field hockey.
I also really enjoy reading, doing arts and crafts and hanging out with my friends
My Grandma, who is a seriously talented lady, helped me start on this whole adventure. We discovered how to put the beads together and we created the first angel. We used ribbon for the wings but it took a long time to assemble and was difficult, so we sourced out some bead wings and were happy with the result. I launched Ava's Angels in 2014 when I was 8 years old at my school's craft fair and I quickly sold out of the 64 angels that I had brought and was even taking orders by the end of the night. It was so much fun!
My other Grandma (Mimi) is a huge supporter of my Angels and encouraged us to make a website to show everyone my angels and hopefully do more fundraising for my favourite charities.
